Mason takes home Helen Hayes Award for Best Lead Performer in a Musical.

Mason was thrilled to be the first recipient of the non-gendered "Leading Performer" award in the 2020 Helen Hayes Award ceremony. The win was for their role as The Emcee in Olney Theatre Center's production of Cabaret, directed by Alan Paul.
